Description
As a Social Media Content Creator, you work as a part-time freelancer (20h/week) to support Paradox’s digital marketing efforts across all assigned brands. Your main focus is creating high-performing social content, especially short-form video, while also producing static assets, managing publishing schedules, and reporting on performance. You work closely with the Social Media Specialist within the Digital Marketing team, who assigns priorities across multiple Paradox brands. You support content creation, publishing, and calendar execution for our official channels (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Threads, etc.) with an always-on mindset toward engagement, reach and awareness. This is a role for someone who lives on the internet, a meme-fluent, chronically online, brain-rot-social native who not only instinctively understands social media culture, trends, and formats, but also breathes Paradox games and knows how to make content that speaks to those communities and players. You are paid as a freelance worker, based on effective work hours reported, normally not exceeding 20 hours per week, at an hourly rate defined in your contract. Focus & Requirements The majority of the workload (around 90%) is dedicated to Paradox’s Grand Strategy titles and their communities, with only occasional support for management/simulation games. A deep understanding of GSG players, their culture, humor, references, community sentiment and ecosystems is not a bonus, but a core requirement for this role. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Production Create short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) for Paradox titles. Produce static content and graphics using Photoshop or equivalent tools (memes, carousels, social stills, announcements, thumbnails). Translate GSG knowledge into community-relevant, platform-native content. Publishing & Scheduling Manage social media calendars across the Paradox portfolio, prioritizing grand strategy content. Publish posts manually when needed and use scheduling tools for planned campaign beats. Coordinate with the Social Media Specialist on campaigns, releases, and sales. Performance Tracking & Reporting Monitor performance with KPIs focused on engagement, reach, awareness, and views. Provide reports and learnings on what content and beats perform well. Spot content opportunities. Required Qualifications Strong experience creating short-form video content for social platforms. Ability to produce static assets (Photoshop or similar tools). Familiarity with social media calendars, formats, and scheduling tools. Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Copywriting experience. Comfortable reporting on social performance and metrics. Desirable Deep knowledge of Paradox grand strategy communities (Hearts of Iron 4, Stellaris, Europa Universalis 5, Crusader Kings 3, Victoria 3, etc.). Ability to adapt tone across multiple Paradox franchises. KPI Focus Measured primarily against: Engagement Reach Views & watch time Awareness Practical Information Scope: Hourly-paid, part-time freelance / contract (max 20h/week) Reports to: Social Media Specialist (Digital Marketing Team) Primary Focus: Paradox Grand Strategy Games (90%) Secondary Support: Management/Sim titles (10%) Location: Remote
