POSITION OVERVIEW

As Guardian’s Social Media Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing and coordinating our social media presence across various platforms. We are looking for a creative, hands-on marketing who follows the latest trends in social media and can help others become social media savvy!
It is essential you understand what creates great user content across all social media channels including Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn. This role involves working very closely with our 180 Centres across Australia to help them create great social content in their communities. Yes, scrolling through Meta and TikTok is part of the job!
The role will be Sydney based (Milsons Point) and report directly to the Head of Performance Marketing. Guardian is a flexible employer and currently the Marketing team are in the office one to two days a week

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in a social media assistant or coordinator role, preferably within a marketing or communications environment
  • Tertiary qualifications preferably in Marketing or Digital Marketing highly regarded.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience working in faced-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Creative and proactive – always having fresh idea and on the lookout for emerging trends to boost content performance.
  • Time management – you are proactive, organised, meet deadlines and able to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities. Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different priorities
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ambitious and fun with an aptitude for learning new things.
Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of social media strategies to engage our audience and drive brand awareness
  • Creating and scheduling engaging content across our social channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok to drive brand awareness, community connection and growth
  • Manage all reporting and responses to our Google Reviews, ensuring all reviews and replied to and shared as needed with the Centres. Help create communities of raving fans.
  • Community engagement: Monitoring social media activity, responding to comments and messages, and analysing performance data to inform future content plans
  • Content Creation: Working with the network of Centres to create high-quality, eye-catching content for our central Meta and TikTok accounts plus assisting with the content generation of the new accounts
  • Video creation and editing: film fresh content and edit existing footage to create appealing videos.
  • Publishing and scheduling content and assisting Centres with account set up and management in Hootsuite
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure our content remains fresh and impactful
  • Event management and logistics for all Centre functions and events
  • Manage all reporting and responses to our Google Reviews, ensuring all reviews and replied to and shared as needed with the Centres.
  • Reporting and coordination of our Storypark family app including Centre usage and compliance to templates and quality of posts
  • Working in Canva to create templates and artwork in line with brand standards
  • Main interface into the network of centres for their marketing, social media and website needs
  • Set priorities, plan workload, meet deadlines and achieve the objectives for the portfolio
