POSITION SUMMARY
The Social Media Coordinator supports the growth of Temple University’s social media presence and engagement through vertical video content creation. With an emphasis on TikTok and YouTube Shorts, the specialist will assist the social media team with creating engaging content for key audiences of prospective and current students, parents, alumni, and faculty/staff in support of the University’s strategic priorities and goals of increasing enrollment, retaining current students, engaging alumni and elevating the Temple University brand and reputation.
The coordinator will support the University’s social media channels by extending its reach and amplification of brand content across vertical video platforms. S/he/they will create content that pairs brand voice, tone, and values with trends, campaign strategy, and analytics to make informed strategic decisions. The coordinator will have an in-depth understanding of how to create, edit, and manage content on vertical video platforms, with a strong emphasis on TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
