Job Description About the Role Fastmarkets is looking for a dynamic storyteller to join our Marketing team as a Social Media Associate. In this role, you will take the reins of our social media channels, drive engagement and brand visibility while supporting critical internal communications efforts. This position has a heavy focus on social media execution. You will be the architect of our social media calendar, working collaboratively across various departments to uncover compelling stories that showcase our expertise and culture. You will also work closely with our Internal Communications Manager to ensure our internal messaging aligns with our external brand voice. Your Impact Own the Social Media Calendar: You will plan, schedule, and manage a robust social media calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality content across LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and other relevant channels. Collaborate Across Departments: You won't work in a silo. You will actively partner with our events, product, editorial, and sales teams to source and create content, translating complex market data into engaging social posts. Support Internal Communications: Working side-by-side with the Internal Communications Manager, you will help craft newsletters and intranet updates that keep our global team connected and informed. Main Accountabilities Social Media Management Develop and manage the daily social media content calendar, working closely with our events marketing team Create engaging multimedia content (copy, basic graphics) that drives follower growth and interaction. Monitor social listening tools to track brand sentiment and competitor activity. Analyze social media metrics to report on performance and optimize future campaigns. Create content for our employee advocacy efforts. Internal Communications & Collaboration Partner closely with the Internal Communications Manager for social media strategy, assist in executing employee engagement campaigns, and support on internal communication initiatives. Assist in maintaining "The Hub" (our intranet) with fresh, relevant news. Qualifications What You Bring Experience: 1-2 years in social media management and/or communications. Social Savvy: Demonstrated experience managing a corporate social media calendar and using scheduling tools (e.g., Oktopost, Hootsuite, Sprout Social). Collaborative Spirit: A proven ability to work with different teams and stakeholders to get things done. Communication Skills: exceptional writing and editing skills in English; you know how to adapt your tone for different platforms and audiences. Education: Relevant experience in social media marketing. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or similar is beneficial but not essential.
