SOCIAL MEDIA, GRAPHIC DESIGN AND CONTENT CREATION OFFICER

Location: 1 Permanent Full Time position for the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Territory (Ontario)
Salary: $65,556.40 to $ 74,074.00 annually

DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

The individual will be responsible for planning, developing, designing and implementing social media strategies and marketing campaigns; creating engaging content for print, social media and other digital platforms; and designing visuals for print, electronic and online content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media, Graphic Design, Communications or related field.
  • Relevant experience in marketing, with a focus on digital and social media marketing, graphic design and content creation.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of CRO (conversion rate optimization) and SEO (search engine optimization).
  • Knowledge of social media analytic and management tools (e.g. Hootsuite) and email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp), online marketing and key marketing channels.
  • Excellent knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and tools.
  • Knowledge of social media writing style.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat, etc.).
  • Proficiency with programs such as html, php, FTP, Javascript, CSS an asset.
  • Knowledge of print production workflow (designing for print, colour profiles, file formats, print production processes) and of requirements for Web content and production.
  • Knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • Knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
  • Good computer, typing, word processing, writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both official languages.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and the use of an automobile.
