About Us: Hipster Lasers is a local engraving company specializing in high-quality coasters, cutting boards, bottle openers, and cheese boards. We take pride in our craftsmanship, eco-friendly materials, and custom work.
Job Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and creative Social Media and Digital Marketing Interns to join us until the end of the year. As an intern, you will play a key role in our digital strategy throughout Christmas. Helping to highlight our products and engage with attendees at tradeshows as well as online. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their functionalities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced event setting.
  • Photography and videography skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Available to work on-site at Fan Expo for the entire duration of the event.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and update our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) with engaging and event-relevant content.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of our booth, products, and interactions with Fan Expo attendees.
  • Create and schedule posts, stories, and reels that showcase our brand and products to a large and diverse audience.
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments, and interact with followers in real time.
  • Assist in developing and executing social media campaigns aimed at driving booth traffic and increasing brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to brainstorm creative content ideas and strategies.
  • Track and report on social media engagement and performance throughout the event.
  • Assist with other digital marketing initiatives as needed.
