Description
Social Media Marketing Internship About Tala Thrive Tala Thrive is a mental health platform offering culturally competent care through video calls and self-led programs. We match clients with therapists and coaches who understand their culture, language, and religion, because you shouldn't have to educate your therapist about your culture - you should have a practitioner who just 'gets it’. Our mission is to provide care that respects cultural nuances, making therapy accessible and impactful. As an early-stage startup, we are backed by an incredible team led by our founder and CEO, Sonia Kaurah, a former venture capitalist and startup mentor. Our team operates across multiple locations, including an established presence in Melbourne and a company based in central London, supporting the organisation’s global reach. About the Internship We are seeking a motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team for a summer internship. The internship would be around 15 hours per week, across a three-month period. While this is an unpaid position, travel expenses and lunches on in-person days will be covered. Exceptional performance during the internship might lead to a paid position within the company. As part of Tala Thrive’s marketing team, you will collaborate closely with our founder and senior leadership team, gaining hands-on experience in social media strategy and execution while contributing meaningfully to our growth. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation: Research and develop engaging social media content tailored to Tala Thrive’s mission and audience. Performance Analysis: Track social media metrics, create dashboards, and provide insights to improve campaign effectiveness. Partnership Outreach: Identify potential collaborators, draft partnership proposals, and assist in outreach efforts (including cold outreach). Campaign Planning: Assist in brainstorming digital marketing strategies and scheduling content across platforms like Instagram and Facebook. Audience Engagement: Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities for engagement. Requirements: Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a creative mindset for generating unique content ideas. Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team. Benefits: Gain hands-on experience working directly with senior leadership in a dynamic startup environment. Access to exclusive co-working spaces for occasional in-person collaboration days. Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on mental health accessibility through culturally competent care initiatives. Introductions to key people in the startup ecosystem If you’re passionate about social media marketing and want to be part of a purpose-driven startup revolutionising mental health care, we’d love to hear from you!
