Big Thirst is a one-stop shop for distilleries and wineries to accelerate sales with an online sales solution and marketing services. Our fast-growing start-up is looking for a creative and energetic part-time Social Media Manager and Digital Content Creator to join the team in Central Texas.

SUMMARY

The ideal candidate is data-driven, hands-on, proactive, works well independently, and can fully execute successful digital campaigns on social media and digital ads for various winery and distillery clients. Does this sound like you? You’re an expert in digital and social media platforms. You’re creative, smart, fast on your feet, team-oriented, and full of energy. You’re obsessed with details. You have a zero-tolerance policy for grammatical errors. You could copy-edit in your sleep. Your photographs belong in museums. Your videos could win an Oscar.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of professional social media content design experience developing and publishing content on digital and social platforms.
  • Varied creative skillset including proficiency in photography, videography, graphic design, and copywriting.
  • Video and photo editing experience (Adobe products a plus).
  • Excellent writer and storyteller in the brand voice to our target audience with impeccable copy-editing skills.
  • Overwhelming attention to detail for error-free content.
  • High level of creativity, and demonstrated ability to generate innovative concepts, designs, and ideas.
  • Exceptional eye for design, style, detail, and color.
  • Fresh ideas to push social presence beyond what has previously been done.
  • Proficient in content management systems, video publishing, digital analytics tools, digital asset management, databases, and SEO best practices.
  • Ability to juggle multiple clients’ tasks and schedules while staying on time and on budget.
  • Personal enthusiasm for staying on top of digital marketing and social media trends.
  • Self-starter and solutions-oriented.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to work autonomously.
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, or a related field with an emphasis on digital publishing.
  • Previous agency experience or alcohol marketing experience is a plus.

  • Provide photography and videography work samples.
  • Provide examples of effective social media campaigns or posts with results.
  • Provide writing samples.

Responsibilities
  • Conceive, create, and post compelling content including text stories, photos/graphics, and video, for use in digital advertising and on social channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, among others.
  • Create email marketing content for newsletters on MailChimp and/or Klaviyo.
  • Create high-quality, branded content that positively and accurately portrays our clients.
  • Shoot content on-site at client locations, at events, and remotely.
  • Engage and build following and loyalty among communities.
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends in social media, and in the alcohol industry to be able to maximize community engagement.
  • Organize and plan posting schedules to ensure all client needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with your team and the clients, staying accountable, and highlighting wins and losses.
  • Must be able to evaluate data and provide an action plan for strategy moving forward.
  • Produce monthly reports on campaign performance.
  • Collaborate and regularly meet in person and virtually with marketing team members, leadership, and clients.
  • Will require occasional working hours on nights and weekends.
