WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Social Media Manager (Contract -13 months) is pivotal in scaling Makeship’s online presence to new heights, with a significant positive impact on our business goals. We are looking for a visionary leader who thrives in a hands-on environment, combining strategic oversight with active involvement in day-to-day operations. As Social Media Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind Makeship’s social media strategy, content creation, and community management efforts. This role reports to the Director of Marketing.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and Lead Social Media Strategy: Execute and iterate on (as necessary) our comprehensive social media strategy in a way that aligns with Makeship’s overall marketing goals and drives brand awareness, engagement, and community growth across all platforms.
  • Oversee Content Creation and Ideation: Actively lead and participate in the content creation process, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to produce high-quality written and visual content (photo, video, etc.) that enhances Makeship’s brand voice and visibility.
  • Drive Community Management: Oversee engagement across all platforms by monitoring content performance, responding to followers, and fostering a positive, active, and loyal online community that reflects Makeship’s values.
  • Empower Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to the Social Media team, ensuring alignment on objectives and fostering professional growth.
  • Innovate and Optimize Campaigns: Design and execute creative social media campaigns, including giveaways and cross-platform promotions, to maximize impact and achieve KPIs.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with multiple internal teams as well as our Creator partners to develop strategies that amplify engagement and elevate campaign promotions.
  • Monitor and Analyze Performance: Use analytics tools to measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, providing actionable insights to continuously refine and improve Makeship’s social media presence.
  • Document Best Practices: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to guide internal teams and creators in executing successful social media campaigns.
