We are looking for a: Social Media Manager We are looking for a Social Media Manager based in Johannesburg. The Social Media Manager is an organised individual who can plan, create, and analyse the performance of content across platforms. They can self-manage, drive tasks, and proactively meet deadlines. This is a client-facing role that requires the candidate to possess a personable character that contributes towards a healthy team dynamic and a highly professional client relationship. Key Responsibilities: Content Management Experience with working on social media platforms is crucial. This includes – but is not limited to: Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and any other emerging platforms or new in-app features from the existing platforms. Along with thoroughly understanding social media platforms, the candidate should: Be confident using content creation, editing and publishing apps – with examples. Be able to conduct reporting natively on these platforms to suggest ideas on how to grow metrics such as Reach, Following, Engagement, and improvements to the content. Be able to plan and facilitate live event coverage for virtual (live streams) and in-person (reporting/live-tweeting) events. Have an eye for detail in reviewing copy and assets before publishing. Eye out opportunities for tactical engagement, engaging with the community, and facilitating competition fulfilment. Our team works with agency partners for influencer marketing, sponsorship, community management, paid media, blog & podcast, and production. Where needed, the candidate must plug into the tasks delegated and contribute meaningfully to the ways of working and final creative output with these agency partners. The candidate should also have a willingness to prioritise client requests and a reasonable availability for urgent tasks.
