*OVERVIEW:*

We are seeking a talented Social Media Manager & Content Creator to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone with a creative mindset, a passion for food & hospitality, and hands-on social media experience. You will be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging content, as well as staying on top of social trends.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to create engaging captions.
  • Understanding of the hospitality industry and its challenges/opportunities (a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with PR/social media management experience.

Essential Requirements (Applications without these will not be considered)

  • Based in Edinburgh and willing to travel locally for client visits.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional social media experience (agency or in-house).
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, with an active account/portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) – marketing/communications qualifications are a plus.
  • Proven content creation skills with a creative eye for photography and video.
  • Experience with editing tools/apps (basic video editing skills required).
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently with clients

Responsibilities
  • Work with owners, restaurant managers, and chefs to develop monthly schedules and strategies.
  • Create engaging copy for various social media platforms.
  • Generate onsite video and photo content (shooting and editing).
  • Create, edit, and schedule reels, posts, and stories.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Analyse social media performance and report on campaign success.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and tools.
