SCOPE

We are seeking a creative, tech-savvy, and customer-focused Social Media Marketing and Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing social media strategies, creating engaging content, monitoring social media channels, and providing top-notch support to our online community. You will help grow our brand’s online presence and engage with followers to cultivate positive relationships while addressing inquiries or concerns through social media.
Reports To: Minister of Marketing and Strategy
Location: Remote

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong understanding of brand voice.
  • Ability to create and edit engaging content, including basic graphic design and video editing.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and customer service platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about social media trends and engagement.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote or in-office setting.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Basic design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar.
  • Experience with social media advertising and paid campaigns.
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Marketing:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create compelling, high-quality content (text, images, video) that aligns with brand messaging and resonates with our target audience.
  • Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent posting and timely updates.
  • Monitor social media channels daily to engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster a sense of community.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth, and reach) and adjust strategies as needed to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative campaigns that align with broader marketing goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends, best practices, and platform updates to ensure we remain competitive and innovative.

Support:

  • Respond to inquiries, complaints, and feedback through social media channels in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor online reviews and engage with the target audience to address any concerns or provide additional information.
  • Act as the voice of the brand in all communications, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
  • Support the Minister of Marketing with a variety of support-related tasks.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with internal teams (content, design, product) to ensure social media efforts are aligned with overall ministry objectives.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on social media performance and interactions, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyze competitor activity and provide insights on industry trends and developments.
