ABOUT TODOTORONTO

Todotoronto is one of the largest things-to-do-focused media channels in Toronto. We are looking to looking for a self-motivated social media marketing coordinator to help us manage and continue to grow our brand.
This position is a hybrid, full-time position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be enrolled in or graduated from a Bachelor degree from a Canadian University
  • Experience with Tiktok and blog writing
  • Strong communication, multitasking and writing skills
  • Energetic, positive, willing to learn with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets), and SEO keywords, a basic understanding of HTML.
  • Ability to sit and type for extended periods.
  • MUST BE BASED OUT OF TORONTO/GTA. You will be reporting and making posts on news and local businesses.
    The ideal candidate will create and maintain a strong online presence for our company. They will implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts, particularly web, Instagram and TikTok in an effort to increase brand awareness. Additionally, this individual will understand the target audience and create an appropriate strategy to reach this group.

Responsibilities

SOCIAL MEDIA RESPONSIBILITIES (80%)

  • Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
  • Manage day-to-day social media marketing for Todotoronto across Tiktok and Instagram platforms
  • Manage and coordinate a posting schedule via a social media calendar
  • Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts.
  • Use Canva and Capcut to create curate unique content.
  • Speaking with clients about post-campaign analytics.

WEBSITE RESPONSIBILITIES (10%)

  • Key responsibility will be to discover and create long-form blog content around current events and things to do around Toronto
  • Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting web/blog content.
  • Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization best practices
  • Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.

NEWSLETTER RESPONSIBILITIES (10%)

  • Research, draft, and edit engaging newsletter content aligned with brand voice and objectives.
  • Curate relevant articles, events, or promotions to increase reader engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and content teams to align newsletter themes with campaigns.
