Social Media Marketer
Location: London (Hybrid or Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time
Company: Pendly – Real Estate, Reimagined
About Pendly
Pendly is a new real estate technology startup on a mission to make renting simpler, smarter, and more transparent for everyone. Inspired by platforms like OpenRent, Pendly allows users to list properties for free, arrange viewings with ease, and explore homes through innovative features designed to empower renters.
We offer tools that help tenants and landlords connect directly, with no hidden fees. Our platform includes:
- Free property listings
- AI-powered lease review tools for safer, faster decisions
- A personality-based property recommendation quiz
- Community-led area rankings tailored to individual lifestyle preferences
Pendly is built for the next generation of renters — and we’re just getting started.
The Role
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Marketer to lead our social media strategy and execution. This is a high-impact role where you’ll take ownership of Pendly’s online presence, engage a growing audience of renters and landlords, and build a brand that people trust and talk about.
You’ll work directly with our founders and marketing team to create content that informs, inspires, and activates. If you’re looking to shape the voice of a fast-moving startup and enjoy working at the intersection of real estate, tech, and culture — we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Pendly’s brand and business objectives
- Create original content tailored to each platform (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X), including graphics, video, reels, and written posts
- Plan and execute paid social campaigns to drive platform engagement and user acquisition
- Manage daily publishing, scheduling, and community engagement, including responding to comments and direct messages
- Monitor emerging trends and platform updates to keep Pendly’s content current and competitive
- Collaborate with design, product, and growth teams to highlight key features and platform milestones
- Identify and manage partnerships with influencers, creators, and relevant communities in the real estate and proptech space
- Track, analyse, and report on performance metrics and campaign results using data-driven insights to optimise future efforts
- Contribute to the broader content and brand strategy, helping to define Pendly’s tone of voice and visual identity
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably within startups, technology, or property
- Proven ability to grow and manage social channels, including experience with paid ads and influencer collaboration
- Strong creative instincts and experience producing content across formats (written, visual, and video)
- A data-oriented mindset with the ability to interpret social analytics and make informed decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to lead initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with the UK rental market or proptech industry is a plus, but not required
What We Offer
- A key role at an early-stage startup with room to grow and shape your career
- The opportunity to define and lead Pendly’s brand voice across all social platforms
- Flexible working arrangements – remote, hybrid, or in-person options available
- Competitive salary and equity in the company
- A collaborative, open culture with a focus on innovation, creativity, and transparency
- The chance to make a real difference in the lives of renters and landlords across the UK
If you’re excited about building something meaningful from the ground up and want to help reshape the rental experience for millions, apply now with your CV and a brief portfolio or examples of your previous social media work.
Let’s reinvent renting — together.
