JOB OVERVIEW

I am an indie author based in Southampton, UK, and I’m looking for a Social Media student to support the promotion of my debut novel. The role involves helping me grow my presence and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and TikTok, with the ultimate goal of boosting book visibility and sales.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Curious, creative, and eager to experiment with new ideas
  • Strong interest in books, storytelling, or publishing
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads)
  • Flexible with time. There are no set minimum or maximum hours, but I do need someone reactive and easy to communicate with
  • Based in the UK is preferred (Hampshire would be ideal), but not essential

IMPORTANT NOTE

As an indie author, I don’t currently have a set budget for this role, so it’s best suited to a student who is looking for hands-on experience and a chance to experiment with social media in a real project. That said, I’m open to discussing advantages to make it worthwhile for you. For example, a small percentage of sales generated through your work, or covering the cost of any useful tools or premium subscriptions you might need.
The book, “The Eycalyptus Tree”, is historical fiction with a touch of romance. Available on Amazon.
