Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a highly creative, progressive, and experienced Social Media & Marketing Strategist to join our team as a contractor. This is more than just creating content, it’s about building strategy, amplifying brands, and producing visuals that actually connect with people.
The ideal candidate has a diverse portfolio across multiple industries including those “black sheep” business and traditional professional services. They thrive on trend-spotting, and knows how to grow a brand’s presence in the noisy digital space. You’ll be hands-on with content creation, strategy, and execution while also supporting larger marketing campaigns and brand development projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute social media strategies tailored to hospitality, restaurants, breweries, salons, entertainment, and lifestyle businesses.
  • Create engaging, visually striking content (reels, stories, static posts, campaigns) that drives followers, engagement, and conversions.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and apply them in innovative, brand-aligned ways.
  • Build integrated marketing strategies that connect digital campaigns with larger business objectives.
  • Manage content calendars, posting schedules, and analytics tracking to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand brand voice, audience, and goals.
  • Support broader marketing initiatives including advertising campaigns, print material, branding projects, and promotional activations.
  • (Bonus) Capture photography and video content for clients if skilled in this area.
