Description

Hanley Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support, is seeking a talented Social Media Specialist to join our growing team in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida. Based at our state-of-the-art substance use and mental health treatment facility, the Social Media Specialist will play a key role in shaping and expanding the digital presence of our brands—Hanley Foundation, Hanley Center, and Headwaters. We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and strategic professional to manage daily social media operations, develop and implement effective strategies, create compelling content, and collaborate with our marketing and advancement teams to drive engagement and enhance visibility across multiple platforms.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong grammar, writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and tone.
  • Experience with social media management tools, graphic design tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of paid social media campaign strategies and optimization.
  • Video editing skills a plus
  • Experience in treatment, knowledge of recovery and the 12-Steps and Traditions a plus
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for Hanley Foundation’s mission and values.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute creative and results-driven social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and organizational goals.
  • Manage and grow all of Hanley Foundation’s accounts and presence across all platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, Bluesky, and YouTube.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging, on-brand content (posts, stories, reels, videos, and graphics).
  • Create and upload engaging shorts from our podcasts/events/etc.
  • Oversee paid social media advertising campaigns, especially on Facebook and Instagram, including budget management and performance optimization.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions; foster positive community interactions and relationships.
  • Monitor and engage with posts from community partners and relevant organizations.
  • Plan and manage content calendars across all platforms to ensure consistency and timeliness.
  • Attend Hanley Foundation events to capture photos, videos, and live social coverage as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling marketing copy and graphics that reflect Hanley’s voice, tone, and values.
  • Analyze performance metrics from social media, email, and digital marketing tools; generate reports and insights to guide future strategies.
  • Work with the broader marketing and advancement team on campaigns, events, and other content-driven initiatives.
  • Assist with additional copy writing/editing and brand messaging needs across digital and print platforms.
