The Role: As our Social Media Specialist, you’ll be at the creative core of our content strategy—developing scroll-stopping photos and videos, designing eye-catching visuals, and writing motivating blog and social copy that drives engagement and community. If you’re a visual storyteller with serious creative ability and the technical skills to make things happen fast, this is your spot!
We’re looking for a do-it-all content creator—someone who can film a video, turn out the edit quickly, write a killer caption, and repurpose it into 5 pieces of content across multiple platforms.
You’ll be responsible for leading HCI’s voice across social media through original videos, photos, interviews, campaign assets, behind-the-scenes coverage, and community engagement.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in social media content creation and management with a strong portfolio that includes visual examples, and writing samples (*applications without portfolios will not be considered)
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Suite tools: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, especially for blogs, captions, and headlines
  • Proven experience using platform schedulers for managing multiple platforms i.e. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube
  • Comfortable capturing content in real time
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Availability to work full-time on-site with flexibility to occasionally work during events and programs that may take place at various times of the day, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings

Responsibilities
  • Film, shoot, and edit original video and photo content regularly from inside the gym and during live events
  • Own the production pipeline: conceptualize, shoot, edit, post, all with a quick turnaround
  • Use storytelling, transitions, motion, sound, and music to create compelling content that converts
  • Maintain daily presence across social media channels
  • Schedule and publish posts, reels, and stories across multiple accounts
  • Respond to comments, messages, and community interactions in a brand-aligned voice
  • Turn one strong piece of content into multiple assets—teasers, reels, carousels, stories, copy snippets, etc.
  • Write compelling, on-brand captions and CTA’s that drive engagement
  • Keep a strong pulse on trends and tailor them to HCI’s tone and audience
  • Work with multiple departments to build ongoing content calendars around gym programs, sports, events, and new campaigns
  • Support paid social initiatives with organic-first creative assets
  • Measure performance using platform analytics and refine strategy accordingly
