Job Title: Social Service Worker / Developmental Support Worker – Group Home Support
Location: Oshawa, Ontario
Hourly Pay: $23.00
Schedule: Various shifts, including 12-hour rotations

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking qualified Social Service Workers, Developmental Support Workers, Child and Youth Workers, or individuals with a related background to join our team in a group home setting. In this role, you will work with youth and adults living with developmental disabilities, many with dual diagnoses and complex needs.
You will help implement behavioural support plans and daily programming, providing both hands-on care and emotional support to individuals in a structured home environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Degree in DSW, SSW, CYC, Psychology, or a related social services field (Required)
  • Prior experience supporting individuals with ASD, dual diagnosis, or mental health challenges, preferably in residential care
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and various rotating schedules
  • Strong observation and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated experience or training in behavioural interventions and support
