The Social Services Specialist is responsible for providing professional expertise on Social work service issues within established organization policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Schedule: 3 days per week; 8:30am - 5:00pm Location: Hybrid - Larkspur with occasional travel to our San Francisco, Sonoma, San Mateo and Pleasanton Offices By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel. You will: Define strategic learning initiatives to advance Social Work and Spiritual Care practice Design, create, curate and implement trainings and supplemental materials Be part of a highly skilled interdisciplinary training team Explore and implement optimal learning & development frameworks Collaborate with clinicians, leaders and community experts Create new pathways to improve patient and employee experience Support organizational culture, development and sustainability Extend supervisory hours to ASWs, contributing to the next generation of LCSWs Education/Experience: Master of Social Worker required. Minimum of five years Clinical social work experience or equivalent, preferably in a health care setting providing clinical services in the areas of life-threatening and chronic illness. Responsibilities
This role focuses on defining strategic learning initiatives to advance Social Work and Spiritual Care practice, and involves designing, creating, and implementing trainings and supplemental materials for clinical excellence in home-based social services. The specialist will also extend supervisory hours to Associate Social Workers (ASWs) to contribute to the next generation of Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs).
