Job Details Job Location: NSC-Smithfield Corps - SMITHFIELD, NC 27577 Position Type: Part Time with Benefits 20 or More Education Level: Equivalent Experience Salary Range: $12.00 - $12.00 Job Category: Social Services Schedule/Hours: This position is responsible for: Interviews clients requesting assistance to determine client's eligibility for assistance based on program guidelines. Prepare, complete and process clothing and furniture vouchers. Serve as liaison to other agencies to coordinate assistance on client's behalf. Prepare food bags according to the number of family members. Maintain food pantry area. Receive food donations and sort into the pantry. Key Responsibilities: Maintain food pantry Properly input client information into database. Properly maintains statistical records on all services provided. Answers telephone in a courteous and tactful manner. Physical Requirments and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirments. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to use a computer. Ability to file documents. Ability to use general office equipment including a telephone and computer. What we are looking for in you. High school diploma or G.E.D and Two years experience working in a social or public service enviroment with experience assisting the public. or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Responsibilities
The Social Services Worker interviews clients to determine eligibility for assistance and prepares food bags and vouchers. They also maintain the food pantry and coordinate with other agencies for client support.
