Job Details Job Location: FLA-Tallahassee Corps - Tallahassee, FL 32312 Position Type: Full Time Regular Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Salary Range: $14.00 - $15.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Minimal Job Shift: Day Job Category: Social Services Schedule/Hours: M – F 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week) This position is responsible for: Provides social services assistance to eligible clients and refers clients to community agencies and ensures compliance with program policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Answers the telephone in a courteous manner and directs calls to the appropriate destination. Records accurate and complete messages when necessary. Receives and receipts deliveries and donations. Greets and announces visitors and clients. Provides general information about The Salvation Army’s operations and services. Provides, completes, and processes food, clothing, and furniture vouchers for eligible clients. Serves as liaison to other agencies to obtain/coordinate assistance on client’s behalf. Notifies proper individuals when visitors or clients have arrived; ensures that visitors and clients have signed in. Prepares and maintains statistical records on all services provided; compiles and prepares monthly statistical reports; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same. Drives Salvation Army vehicle to pick-up and/or deliver donations and other miscellaneous items or to transport clients on occasion. Assists in the processing of rent an utility financial assistance for eligible clients by making appropriate copies of documents and assisting clients with completing application forms. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
