An opportunity is available for a dedicated General Education Social Studies teacher to instruct 6th-grade students during the 2025-2026 school year. This 10-month contract position is based in an elementary school setting in Levittown, PA, offering a 35-hour workweek, likely from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Social Studies instruction aligned with curriculum standards for 6th graders.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational strategies and student outcomes.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Incorporate Spanish language exposure consistent with the districts dual-language emphasis.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide activities as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Elementary Education certification (grades 4-8), with specialization in English Language Arts as per Pennsylvania requirements.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Social Studies at the elementary level.
• Strong commitment to fostering student engagement and academic achievement.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt instructional methods to diverse learners.
• Knowledge of or willingness to support a bilingual learning environment is a plus.

• Position primarily serves students in Levittown, Pennsylvania, with potential collaboration or impact related to nearby communities such as Springfield, Ardmore, and West Philadelphia.
