Description The Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, population 56,852 is located along Metra’s Union Pacific Northwest Line, 23 miles from downtown Chicago and five miles north of O’Hare International Airport. The Village of Mount Prospect Human Services Department is seeking a Bachelor or a First Year Master of Social Work student intern for the fall placement. Requirements The intern is required to be a registered student in good standing at an accredited undergraduate/graduate level School of Social Work program. Fluency in Spanish is required. The placement offers experience in a variety of direct services and programs within the department. The student will have the opportunity to participate in all services offered by Human Services including police social services, emergency assistance programs, benefit applications, case management, community social work, crisis response, senior services and social service group programs. This placement provides services primarily at the Community Connections Center with the opportunity to experience services provided at Village Hall and The Mount Prospect Police Department. This placement is a paid internship, with an hourly range of $16-$18 per hour, depending on qualifications. Click here for a full internship job description.
