Location: Brooklyn, NY Hours: Part-time | Flexible schedule aligned with program needs and academic requirements About the Role HASC Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Work Intern to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This internship offers meaningful, hands-on experience in a supportive nonprofit environment. Interns will work under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and gain valuable experience working in a human services setting. Key Responsibilities Engage individuals through group or one-on-one interactions Collaborate on the development and implementation of person-centered service plans Maintain accurate case notes and documentation Attend team meetings and staff trainings Requirements Enrollment in a BSW, MSW, MHC, or related graduate-level program (field placement eligible) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Interest in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism Eagerness to learn and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team What You’ll Gain Supervised clinical field experience Exposure to person-centered care Opportunities for professional development and skill-building Valuable insight into nonprofit social services and disability supports
