BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK, ACTIVE SOCIAL WORKER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A school-based social worker position is available to provide support to K-5th grade students at an elementary school in Aurora, IL. This contract role spans the school year, beginning on August 18, 2025, and ending November 7, 2025. The role involves working full-time at 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, contributing to the overall well-being of the entire student body.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential is required.
  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
  • Experience in school social work preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to support diverse student needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing social work services to support the emotional, social, and behavioral development of students.
  • Collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff to address student needs.
  • Developing and implementing intervention plans.
  • Facilitating group and individual support sessions.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation.
