The incumbent provides supervision to students in formal clinical practicums. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * 1 year recognized postgraduate experience in community MHAS Education * Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Competencies * Verbal communication skills * Written Communication Skills Knowledge and Abilities * Can function independently & as member of interdisciplinary mental health team * Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems * Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty. * Ability to manage a high demand caseload and other work assignments. * Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation * Broad knowledge of mental health community resources. * Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions  * Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups * Ability to provide public education regarding children/youth mental health issues * Knowledge in normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology * Ability to design, initiate and conduct in service training for others. * Ability to document in a concise and timely manner Other Information * For more information on the city of Regina please visit https://www.regina.ca/ * Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) * Can work flexible hours; ability to work shifts based on operational needs. * Requires a valid driver’s license.
