The incumbent provides supervision to students in formal clinical practicums. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Min. 1 year (post graduate) recognized exp. working within adult community MHAS. Education * Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Competencies * Problem solving skills * Public relations skills * Conflict resolution skills * Interpersonal skills * Cultural competency   Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems * Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner. * Knowledge and skill in community outreach and crisis interventions * Highly developed written and oral communication skills * Identify, implement and evaluate client difficulty areas * Knowledge in various mental health disorders and stability interventions * Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies * Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure * Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups * Knowledge in recovery philosophy * Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation * Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting.
