The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established polices and procedures, and as may be directed by the nursing home administrator/Executive Director to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of Good Shepherd clients, residents are met/maintained on an individual basis. A customer service orientation toward both internal and external customers is required. The position is accountable for all facets of the resident admission and discharge processes.
EDUCATION
Preferred Social Work Degree
EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in long-term care setting.
