About Allied Health at Cabrini

The Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 1 Social Worker to join our acute care team in a busy, large private hospital.

As a Social Worker at Cabrini, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care using sound clinical judgment and communication
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, speech pathologists, and external service providers
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments
  • Develop and implement targeted intervention plans in partnership with patients, families, and carers
  • Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning and community referrals

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication, computer literacy, and documentation skills
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) – essential
  • Capacity to work within a performance-review and feedback framework – essential
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting – desirable
  • Solid knowledge and application of evidence-based practices in social work, including in mental health settings
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in quality improvement or research projects
