A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed School Social Worker to support early childhood students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This role is based in Elmwood Park, IL, at an early childhood school, providing vital social work services over the summer months.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and providing social-emotional support tailored to early childhood students.
  • Collaborating with educators and families to create individualized intervention plans.
  • Managing a caseload of multiple students, ensuring regular communication and progress monitoring.
  • Participating in summer testing and other district-determined activities.
  • Promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the social and emotional needs of all students.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois School Social Worker license.
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and case management skills.
  • Ability to work independently during ESY with flexible scheduling.

This position is a contract role for the ESY period, with hours per week determined by the districts summer testing schedule. Candidates can expect weekly pay and will have access to ProCare benefits, offering additional support and resources.
