The Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation is looking for a Social Worker to join in our organization’s mission to provide support to patients with blood cancers towards achieving a cure.
You will play an important role in initiatives that will enhance the delivery of our charity’s services to patients. Most importantly, you will play a key role in creating for patients a safe, supportive space where hope, resilience and connection can grow. This position will also draw on the candidate’s potential towards acquiring broader and deeper skillsets.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Social Worker, you will walk alongside individuals and families affected by blood cancer, offering emotional, practical, and psychosocial support at every stage of their journey. You will provide one-to-one counselling, lead support groups and help connect patients and caregivers with resources that ease their challenges. Working closely with healthcare professionals and community partners, you will advocate for patients’ needs and ensure holistic care.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as social worker.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work or Masters in Counselling (or recognised equivalent).
• Registered or eligible for registration with the relevant social work body.
• Experience in healthcare, oncology, or palliative care settings preferred.
• Strong communication, counselling, and case management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Compassion, resilience, and commitment to supporting people affected by blood cancer.
