The incumbent provides program consultation, evaluation of clinical interventions, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience 1 year recognized postgraduate experience in community MHAS Education Master of Social Work (MSW) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies Problem solving skills Cultural competency Communication skills Conflict resolution skills Public relations skills Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner. Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies Knowledge in recovery philosophy Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting Knowledge in community resources and services in the clinical area Ability to build and maintain effective relationships/partnerships Knowledge of Recovery Philosophy Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty. Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems Knowledge of assessment, triage, treatment and case management. Knowledge of Health Information Protection Act and other legislation. Ability to work independently Exp. in mental health & addictions community outreach & crisis interventions Ability to work flexible hours Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation Other Information This position works with the Regina Domestic Violence Court.
