The Oxford County Community Health Centre’s (OCCHC) serves individuals who are vulnerable and/or marginalized, and experiencing barriers to accessing care. We are seeking a permanent, full-time:
SOCIAL WORKER – Mental Health/Substance Use Therapist
Overview of the Role: The Social Worker provides comprehensive, client-directed mental health & substance use care within the full scope of practice of a Social Worker. Care includes: assessment, screening, treatment planning, counselling & psychotherapy, education, system navigation, case coordination, advocacy, follow-up, and occasional group programming. The role is highly autonomous, but well supported - working in close collaboration with the OCCHC Interdisciplinary team including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Housing Stability Workers, and more. The Social Worker will also work in close collaboration with providers from other community agencies.
Compensation & Benefits: competitive compensation; plus: HOOPP pension, benefits, and paid vacation, sick and personal time.
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30 pm.
Location: 35 Metcalf Street, Woodstock, ON.
Anticipated Start Date: August 2024.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Membership with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work preferred (or equivalent education); Bachelors in Social Work with relevant experience also welcomed.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with competency in a wide range of treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Trauma therapies.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with complex individuals who face barriers to care.
