OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a warm, skilled, and client-centered Registered Social Worker (MSW) to join our growing interdisciplinary health team. This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys private practice work, values collaborative care, and is ready to play a key role in both general mental health and Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) rehabilitation services.
The ideal candidate brings experience in psychotherapy/counselling (adults and/or teens), is confident navigating a variety of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and post-accident stress, and has a strong understanding of psychosocial treatment planning—particularly within the context of MVA claims.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master of Social Work (MSW) and registration in good standing with OCSWSSW.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (private practice and/or MVA work considered a strong asset).
• Experience or interest in submitting OCF18 treatment plans for psychotherapy/counselling under the MVA framework.
• Skilled in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and psychosocial adjustment post-injury.
• Training in one or more therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, ACT).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working with a diverse population.
• Professional liability insurance required.
• Some evening or weekend availability preferred.

• Provide individual psychotherapy in-person and/or virtually.
• Conduct thorough psychosocial intake assessments, including those specific to clients recovering from Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVAs).
• Independently develop and submit MVA-related treatment plans (OCF18s), in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
• Support clients in post-accident emotional regulation, trauma recovery, pain coping, and adjustment to life changes.
• Use evidence-informed modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, or trauma-focused approaches.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
• Ensure care aligns with the standards of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
• Participate in team collaboration and interdisciplinary case consultations.
