This full-time Social Worker position is based in Sycamore, IL, supporting elementary school students across two schools. The role offers a fixed-term contract for the current school year, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and social-emotional growth of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive social work services to a caseload of 20-25 elementary students.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and monitor student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holds a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children within a school setting.
  • Strong assessment and case management skills tailored to a student caseload.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families.
