Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Located within Western NSW Local Health District, you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, that is responsible for providing assessment, case management, referral and follow up for clients seeking assistance with substance use problems. You will be working in a small, dynamic team to provide psychosocial counselling and support to clients with substance use issues.
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. The role includes providing services virtually and face to face to clients in the community.
The team includes, Social Workers, Health Clinician, Nurses, Addiction Medicine Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Lead.
You will be working closely with the whole MDT as well as working closely with clinicians from Mental Health Drug and Alcohol as well as several NGO’s.
You will be provided with orientation to the role. In addition, relevant professional development will be provided as required. Supervision and case load management will be supported by the Clinical Lead and you will be linked in to appropriate discipline specific supervision and support within MHDA services.
