ROLE OF A SUPERVISOR:
· An experienced supervisor with competent skill, with a command to fluency communicate and coordinate is a prerequisite.
· The supervisor role is to lead his/her team to achieve the company’s objective, customer satisfaction and clientele requirements.
· He /she will be the connecting point between the management and the staff. A supervisor who can communicate well with the staff and properly escalate the challenges or concerns to the management is a right choice for the establishment.
· The supervisor must focus on the need of the all the stake holders, he she is the hands, eyes of the management. How she leads and achieve her objective demonstrates the success of the operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPERVISOR:
· Should possess good communicational skills.
· Should conduct regular meetings and TBT with the team.
· Should be able to train the staff based on the evaluation, gap analysis and customer requirement at site.
· Should be competent to use Microsoft word, excel and presentation.
· Should be good at computing skills.
· Should be able to prepare monthly reports, inventories and consumption reports pertaining to all cleaning goods and assets.
· Should physically check the areas allocated for cleaning quality standards, property damages, asset condition and operational disruption.
· Should ensure all areas allocated should be ready for operational requirement.
· Should be able to request, track, record and control the consumption of cleaning consumables, chemicals, paper consumable for the location.
· Should be able to manage the cleaning machines and assets, manage inventory, raise down time, and coordinate repair and maintenance of the machinery and assets.
· He /She should be equipped with pest control method and best practises.
· Pest types and scope.
· Equipped to analyse pest issues and take preventive management measures.
· Should have basic awareness about pesticides and eco friendly product to handle pest.
· Should be able to handle customer related pest concerns.
· He she should be able to handle waste management professionally.
· Should be aware of the regulatory compliances.
· Should be able to manage the team handling waste right from collection to disposal.
· Should be able to provide recommendation to reduce, reuse, recycle waste.
· He/ she should be hands on about the condition of the asset condition in the location.
· Should be able to communicate and escalate all operations related challenges with the management with an ability to provide solution to the concern.
· Should be able to prepare cleaning schedule for the staff as per the locational requirement.
· Should ensure the quality of the services and assets are within acceptable standards.
· Should ensure all PPM are continuously met as per the schedule and acceptable standards.
· Should ensure the SOPs pertaining to the cleaning operation and cleaning methodology, pest control and waste management are being practised.
· Should be able to conduct training session pertaining to the SOPs with the cleaning staff as per a calendar made for the month, quarterly, annually.
· He/she should be able to analyse the footfall and alter the SOP site specific in the location.
· He/she should know the customer needs and their requirements.
· He/she should hold responsibility of the health safety of the staff.
· Should be able to train the staff as per BICSc and ISSA standards.
· Should be aware of the Do and do not pertaining to the project and the organisations business interest.
· Should have the competency to evaluate the risk associated with the failure of deliverables and KPIs, should be capable to mitigate the risk and have a recovery plan in place.
· Should be able to identify, analyse and mitigate risk at work, should coordinate with the HSE specialist to ensure the staff work in a safe environment.
· He/she should be fully aware of the risk in the location and
· should have a plan in place in consultation with the project management and the HSE specialist.
· He/she should maintain the inventory of the consumable, cleaning agents and equipment in the location.
· Should be able to identify the factors leading to pest infestation due to the misuse of resources.
· Should identify structural gaps and provide recommendation to full fill the gaps.
· Should regularly record and update the data generated by the waste management, follow the management directive, and should ensure the directive and guidelines are monitored for the achievement of the objective to manage waste.
