Job Description Supervise the laboratory operations of functional lab to ensure its safety, effectiveness & efficiency and maintain standardized and aligned lab testing practices in the laboratory Maintains laboratory operation and equipment performance, develop workflow and operations. Ensure technician compliance, to follow SOP to perform the test, issue the reporting and arrange equipment maintenance. Implement and develop new method, instrumentation, and procedures, prepare testing protocol, develop and perform Proficiency Testing programs and accreditation. Maintain laboratory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Lead technical development, R&D, continuous improvement and corporate projects of functional and comfort test services Implement necessary processes for adequate and consistent quality of execution and meeting HSE requirements (in line with business processes and group targets) Support to publish technical paper regularly (e.g. safeguard, position paper) in functional lab service aspects Provide support to client’s activities (e.g. meeting/lab tour/ training/seminar) and provide professional advice and technical support on functional & comfort lab test service Control all direct costs and improve continuously productivity achieving documented Key Performance Indicators and Productivity targets Optimize the operational network and the organization as required Participate & co work with international organization & VIP client(s) for latest test service research & development in functional test aspect Formulate staff training and people development plan in accordance with business strategy, company direction and employee’s individual needs Qualifications Graduated from engineering / management / quality degree or postgraduate. Related Management position in TIC industry plus 8+ years management experience Knowledge in testing on textile / footwear / garment/ handbag. Knowledge in ISO 17025 lab quality management system and VILAS requirements Current or formerly VILAS approved signatory will be a definite advantage Additional Information Customer (Supplier Chain) Lab equipment supplier Regulatory authorities or auditor CRS team Quality & HSE regulation Cross BU/ CF peers
