YOUR TASKS:

• Performing and securing Linux kernel updates for our embedded Linux platforms (e.g. Xilinx Zynq)
• Maintaining and further developing the bootloader
• Customizing Board Support Packages (BSP) via Device Tree Configurations
• Configuring FPGAs and integrating and utilizing IP cores in the overall system
• Integrating, testing, and optimizing kernel, driver, and BSP customizations on target hardware
• Analyzing and fixing hardware-related errors
• Close collaboration with electronics development, FPGA design, system architecture and testing
• Assessing and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities (CVEs) through security updates

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience in embedded Linux development with a focus on kernel, drivers, BSP and FPGA is required.
• Confident handling of C/C++, Git, the Yocto Project and debugging tools
• Good German and English skills
• Structured work style, enjoyment of teamwork and interest in high-end analysis systems
