Description
ABOUT THRYV For over 125 years, Thryv has helped local businesses compete and win. We've evolved from print directories to cutting-edge digital marketing, automation and SaaS tools — empowering SMBs to save time, communicate better and get paid faster. We're not just selling software. We're selling time, sanity and success. Work remotely, meet locally. Close deals. Earn commission. Grow fast. THE OPPORTUNITY Thryv is looking for a driven, personable Software Account Representative to join our growing sales team across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hybrid role — remote-first, with real local impact. You'll spend around 70% of your time connecting with Aussie and Kiwi business owners over the phone, and 30% meeting them face-to-face in your local market. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching through to closing and nurturing clients post-sale — and position yourself for fast-tracked promotion into our highest-paid Business Advisor roles. This role is open to parents returning to the workforce and flexible arrangements are genuinely on the table. The total package is $100K, with the potential to earn more through performance. If you're driven, personable and ready to make an impact — this is your launchpad.   WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Proactively self-source leads and connect with business owners via phone, SMS, email and virtual meetings (approximately 70% of your time) * Meet clients face-to-face in your local market to build trust and close deals (approximately 30% of your time) * Manage the full sales cycle — from first contact and pitching through to close and 6 months of post-sale account management * Collaborate with Software Sales and Client Success Managers to deliver demos and turn curiosity into commitment * Achieve monthly sales targets and activity KPIs with personal accountability and discipline * Maintain clean pipeline records and manage your own follow-up cadence across calls, texts and emails * Dedicate time each day to training, coaching and continuously levelling up your skills   WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT * Proven full sales cycle experience — you've prospected, pitched, closed and managed accounts independently * Driven and dynamic — goal-oriented, resilient and thriving in a fast-paced, performance-focused environment * A natural communicator — you build trust quickly and tailor your message to different business owners * Tech confident — comfortable learning new systems and using tools like Thryv to work smarter * Commercially aware — you understand what matters to business owners and use that knowledge in every conversation * Relationship-focused — your work doesn't end at the close, you genuinely invest in your clients' success * Call centre or corporate experience is nice to have — but mindset, hustle and results matter most WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE * Career progression - Fast-tracked growth into our highest-paid Business Advisor roles * $100K package - Base + commission, with uncapped earning for strong performers * Flexible hours - Real flexibility — we welcome parents back to work with open arms * Local impact - Build relationships in your community via virtual and face-to-face sales * Supportive culture - Daily coaching, team huddles and a fun, values-driven team * Annual reviews - Strong performance gets noticed, recognised and rewarded RECRUITMENT TIMELINE Candidates are encouraged to review the anticipated recruitment timeline below when considering their application.
