Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)
We are looking for a Software Analyst Intern, Product Team to join our team in Toronto!
The Software Analyst Intern, Product Team will work within the IS Product development team, responsibilities will include development, analysis, automation and testing against the Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) requirements in Hitachi Rail Canada.

Key Accountabilities:

• Behavioral - Positive ‘can do’ attitude - Customer delivery focused with excellent communication skills
• Develop software components and testing for the features allocated in the system
• Develop supporting scripts that will enhance/automate current engineering infrastructure and applications

Key Requirements

• The successful candidate should be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Computer Application Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Completion of the third year of your undergraduate degree, or currently pursuing a master’s degree.
• C++ coding exposure and AUTOSR MISRA C++ standards, OOPS concepts
• Scripting (Python), automation
• The ability to work 40 hours a week in a hybrid environment for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Co-Op student available for a 8 or 12-month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the completion of the internship.
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with GIT/ BitBucket
• Experience with Artifactory
• Experience with Jenkins / Continuous Integration
• Experience with Virtualisation (VMware, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
