We are looking for a hands-on Software Architect (Cloud Backend) to join Nexi Digital Finland!
Our AWS-based payment platform has powered Nordic transactions for years with a focus on security and high availability. We’re now scaling out and rolling out new features to prepare for a broader European expansion. Join us to shape the next phase of a platform built to keep payments flowing reliably across Europe.

WHAT YOU BRING:

We’re looking for someone curious, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative. You enjoy working with others, sharing knowledge, and taking ownership of your work, and you’ll find a team that values the same.
Our stack includes: TypeScript, Rust, Python, AWS (with a focus on serverless), MySQL, DynamoDB, Containers, Linux.
You don’t need to know everything already — we value strong fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt quickly. Many of us have picked up parts of the stack along the way, and we’ll support you in doing the same.

This is a senior developer role with architectural responsibilities. You will:

• Write, deploy, and maintain production-grade backend code
• Shape the architecture of distributed systems that prioritize consistency, resilience, and low-latency processing
• Solve for reliability and scalability in a real-world, high-integrity transaction environment
• Participate in operating and improving our system in production
• Collaborate closely with teammates to make pragmatic, forward-looking decisions
• Work closely with stakeholders across product, infrastructure, and operations
