WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect with strong technical skills and a proven track record working in a healthcare context.

Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a software architect, you are responsible for the oversight and guidance of the development team to ensure the architectural vision is maintained. Additionally, you will work together with near- and off-shore technical teams, vendors and external partners to ensure our tailored software solutions for our healthcare clients are compliant with health regulations and standards. In your role, you will collaborate with clinical teams, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize and address health-specific software requirements.
As technical expert, you evaluate and select software development technologies, tools and platforms. You also identify software requirements and design architectural blueprints for development team to follow. Additionally, you communicate requirements with other stakeholders like project managers, scrum masters, product owners, business analysts, developers and infrastructure or security architects, as well as provide training and support in business development.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, (Software) Engineering or other related field with strong IT focus. Master’s or further certification are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably 2 years in a healthcare context and with particular focus on designing and implementing custom developed applications on native mobile platforms (Android/iOS). Experience with hybrid solutions or web is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of mobile application development, the frameworks and the technical characteristics of the mobile operating systems Android and iOS.
  • Deep understanding of software architectures on all layers – network, infrastructure, security, persistence, application and frontend in order to be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in writing technical concepts, database design and data modeling.
  • Experience with CI/CD tech stacks, e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Experience in designing architectures in healthcare system landscapes and ensuring interoperability between healthcare-specific data formats, e.g. HL7/FHIR, OMOP, xDT, openEHR.
  • Good knowledge of the German healthcare system landscapes and reference architectures at hospitals, service providers, and/or health insurance companies, e.g., TI, HIS, LIMS.
