Summary
We are looking for a “Software Architect / Team Leader (f/m/d)” for the “Ground Based Self-Protection Engineering” department at the Taufkirchen site as soon as possible.
The “Ground Based Self-Protection Engineering” department is responsible for the development of self-protection systems for military land applications. The entire life cycle of the products is covered, from the offer phase to the development of demonstrators / prototypes, product and series development, integration, series support and necessary adaptation developments during use. The product range includes sensors and computing units, actuators, auxiliary devices and the software modules they contain, from embedded software and tools with graphical user interfaces to internal and external tools.

Your Tasks

• Planning, specification and design of software for real-time embedded systems and support of the development in the design of modules and programming
• Team management of a software development team (2-3 persons) with different disciplines (embedded software, algorithmics, firmware)
• Implementation of hardware/software integration and participation in the development of PC-based test applications and special measuring equipment
• Technical management of subcontractors and other software developers
• Creation Estimation, implementation and cost control of work packages
• Verification and validation of the created software
• Creation and execution of test procedures
• Documentation of the results at component and system level
• Creation of embedded software development plans

Your Profile

• Completed studies in engineering, computer science or comparable
• Several years of professional experience as a software architect in complex software projects or experience in programming embedded systems / hardware-related software development
• Very good knowledge of the programming languages C / C++
• Very good knowledge of networks (TCP / IP, UDP) serial interfaces (RS232, RS422) and bus systems
• Good knowledge of configuration management and process models
• Good knowledge of real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks) or Linux operating systems
• Very good communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team and social skills
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Fluent in German and English
