The candidate will be responsible for working in a new product development-focused team to design, develop and integrate automated solutions in support of the company’s complete product portfolio.
The candidate will also contribute to the development of product performance improvements.
Testing of new components/devices and devising of new architectural solutions are expected within the scope of this position.

YOUR COMPETENCE

To be successful in the role we are looking for:

  • Practical experience in automation engineering with at least 5 years of experience in automation industry
  • Fluent English
  • PLC knowledge/experience, with a focus on Structured Text
  • Knowledge/experience in Motion Control (servo motor control, stepper motor control)
  • Commissioning and testing automated control systems
  • Experience with the design of systems made of several machines
  • Deep understanding of automation design and architecture for realtime systems
  • Deep knowledge of electromechanical components and systems
  • Beckhoff / TwinCAT Knowledge
  • Experience of CODESYS

Responsibilities

Primary goals for this role include:

  • Define project architecture and design
  • Prepare acceptance test criteria documents and functional specifications for purchasing equipment required within projects scope
  • Prepare and participate in design risk assessments and final user and maintenance documentation
  • Translate the requirements into an automated solution
