Generac Connectivity is hiring a Senior Software Business Analyst III. In this role located in Pewaukee WI, you will partner with Product Managers to translate product vision into an actionable backlog, guide day-to-day prioritization, validate completed work against acceptance criteria, and coach Business Analyst I/II peers on best practices inclusive of story writing, backlog hygiene, and stakeholder facilitation. Your leadership ensures each sprint delivers measurable business value, aligns to strategic objectives, and meets agreed upon quality standards.
This role is located in Pewaukee WI onsite with flexibility.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 + years as a Business Analyst in Agile software development.
  • Proven stewardship of a backlog, including sprint validation and release planning.
  • Demonstrated success breaking large initiatives into sprint-sized increments delivered on schedule.
  • Expert user of backlog management platforms (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of modern software architectures, APIs, and CI/CD concepts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CBAP, PMI - PBA, or other advanced Agile/BA credentials.
  • Exceptional, succinct communication capable of asking incisive questions and providing clear, data-backed answers.
Responsibilities
  • Break down epics into user stories and tasks; prioritize based on ROI, risk, and capacity.
  • Define sprint goals, validate completed stories in sprint reviews, and maintain release readiness checklists.
  • Translate roadmap themes into multi sprint forecasts and high-level release plans in collaboration with Product Management.
  • Lead discovery workshops to clarify requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Breakdown capabilities into minimal, sprint sized slices that adhere to architectural guardrails.
  • Establish and uphold clear Definitions of Ready and Done.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for day-to-day scope clarifications, resolving most ambiguities without escalating to the Product Manager.
  • Facilitate backlog walkthroughs, story mapping, sprint planning, and sprint reviews with UX, Development, QA, and DevOps.
  • Proactively communicate the impact of scope or priority changes to all stakeholders.
  • Champion Agile best practices and concise, outcome focused communication across teams.
  • Identify systemic impediments (dependences, environments, tooling) and partner with Project Managers to remove them.
  • Refine templates, acceptance criteria patterns, and workshop techniques to accelerate discovery and delivery.
  • Recommend and implement process adjustments to improve delivery predictability.
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation abilities; balances stakeholder desires with technical realities.
