Description

This is a great opportunity for a multifaceted data enthusiast to leverage
creative problem-solving skills that will drive efficiency in processes, tools, and
project execution. As a key role within the Integrated Business Planning organization, the Software Data Science and Analytics engineer will provide data aggregation and analysis which affords Dematic to make critical decisions around sourcing of projects globally. This role collaborates with our central data science team in data translations, data aggregation, and dashboarding output from different data sources. Act as a bridge connecting different Dematic functions to improve efficiency and implement projects.

Responsibilities

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

Analyze project backlog and sales pipeline to access demand shifts, technology, project roles and skills needs, and financial sourcing options. You will engage with other Dematic functions to build our data warehouse and analyze our capacity constraints, demand needs, and variables that play a meaningful factor in business decisions around hiring, sourcing, training, and risk.

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Develop a wide range of concepts that meet or exceed the design criteria. Concepts may range from manual to fully automated solutions.
  • Produce dashboards and charts that professionally summarizes the project execution metrics and business decision variables.
  • Interpret data trends, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and analysis.
  • Identify data cleansing opportunities within our source systems and suggest ways to improve data accuracy and/or collection of new data points. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources.
  • Thoroughly understand the practices, methodologies and requirements of the project departments and serve as advisor to all group members.
  • Perform analysis of capacity and demand so as to develop objective scenarios by which to meet or exceed project execution.
  • Conduct periodic status checks to assess progress against plan.
  • Collect data that accurately represents project requirements.
  • Stay abreast of current / future operating strategies and technologies by attending conferences, seminars, etc.
  • International and domestic travel may be required (up to 15%).
