• This position would suit someone who brings a strong mix of three key areas:Project management experience
• A technical background or strong understanding of software engineering
• Agile delivery experience, with the flexibility to use waterfall approaches where needed

The ideal person will have delivered software projects at scale, worked with cross-functional teams, and be comfortable managing delivery across multiple workstreams. You will be client-facing, so strong stakeholder management and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders will be important. Depending on the project, the role could involve managing teams of 20–30 people across single or multiple projects, including internal delivery teams and, in some cases, client-side resources.

• You will be involved in:Leading software delivery across complex projects or programmes
• Managing delivery teams across agile and hybrid environments
• Working closely with clients and senior stakeholders
• Overseeing governance, reporting, risks, budgets and resourcing
• Supporting delivery quality and continuous improvement
• Collaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered effectively
• Helping teams stay focused, organised and moving in the right direction

• The ideal background:10+ years in software delivery or programme delivery
• Experience managing large-scale technology projects
• A good understanding of modern software engineering practices
• Agile delivery experience, with a pragmatic approach to methodology
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing hybrid or multi-disciplinary teams
• Consulting or management consultancy experience would be a strong advantage
• Product delivery experience would also be very relevant
