Engineering Interns at MEAU will contribute to a range of technical and project-based initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Working with experienced engineers, the Software Design Engineering Intern will support the software engineering lifecycle following the Software Engineering Development Plan, including requirements analysis, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of languages such as C++, C#, and Python. * Backend development, program C++/C#. * Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems * Produce the technical user manual ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE * Rising Junior or Senior, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Electrical Engineering * C++/C# programming * Project, experiences, or coursework related to areas such as, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Multi-Threading, Data Structure & Algorithms. * Knowledge of Agile Software Development * Proficient with Microsoft Office PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS * Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work * Regular, predictable attendance is required as business demands dictate. * Ability to telecommute or perform remote work as travel and / or business needs require * Tedious detail work (written or verbal) * Detail-oriented and extremely accurate * Ability to organize and prioritize working activities (flexibility) The listed salary range is approximate and reflects the anticipated compensation for this position as determined by salary analysis; both internal and external to MEAU. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience. Compensation may also vary due to market factors.
